Our client, a hazardous waste management company specializing in the packaging, transport and recycling/disposition of hazardous wastes generated from residential, industrial, institutional and educational facilities, is seeking energetic, outgoing and detail oriented individuals to work at their travelling waste collection events throughout the summer. Events are usually held on Saturdays and can range from 4-8 hours in length.
Locations can be from Niagara through Halton, and there is generally a carpool available from St. Catharines.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Directing traffic in a parking lot to designated areas
Unloading materials from vehicle trunks, truck beds, etc.
Loading, lifting and transporting crate/boxes to a designated location
May be asked to assist packing materials into trucks for transportation to a recycling facility
Minimum Requirements:
Be able to work as part of a fast-paced team
Be available for on-call weekend shifts upon event notice
Be physically fit and able to lift 20-40lbs repeatedly
Ability to work on your feet for periods of 4-8 hours
Fully understand Ontario's Accessibility laws (AODA) and commit to working in an environment with coworkers who may have both visible and invisible disabilities, without discrimination or harassment.
