Winery Bottling Labourer

If you want to work in a fun, fast paced and upbeat environment, then winery work is perfect for you! Enjoy the majestic views of rolling hills and sprawling acres at beautiful Niagara winery locations while learning new skills in wine bottling. Various wineries in the Niagara Region require extra hands during their peak bottling seasons. These shifts are often booked several days in advance, but could be on-call to fill unexpected spaces as well. Individuals will work at various rotating positions on the bottling line. Shifts generally run until the day's production is complete (no set end time). The position is part-time, usually 2-3 shifts per week to start, but some weeks could be full 5 days.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Working on a fast paced assembly line

  • Bottling wine, capping bottles, labelling wine bottles, packaging wine bottles for shipments and palletizing

  • Monitoring finished product for quality & sorting rework or discard products accordingly

  • Keeping work area clean and organized

  • There will be lots of bending and lifting all day

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18+ years of age

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Have good attention to detail and a desire for quality work

  • Ability to follow verbal instructions

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Have strong communication skills

  • Be reliable, energetic & hardworking

  • Have a positive attitude

  • CSA-approved steel toe work shoes or boots (green patch) mandatory
