Two of our local landscaping companies require on-call help during the winter months to shovel/remove snow at businesses in the region.
Qualified candidates need to be physically capable of shovelling snow in cold temperatures and active weather for periods of 8-12 hours. Experience operating snowblowers or the like is an asset.
Many shifts are late night/overnight, or begin in the early morning hours, in order to have properties clear before the business day begins. Qualified candidates will be dependable and a committed team player.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Shovelling snow and ice from walkways, small driveways, loading bays, etc, using manual shovels, ice picks or other tools of the trade.
May be operating snowblowers to assist in the snow removal process.
May be putting down salt, sand or other de-icing agents to prevent slips/falls.
Must be conscious of client property and avoid damaging buildings, walkways, windows, frames, gardens, equipment, etc.
Must be available for routine on-call emergency services and after-hours work.
Minimum Requirements:
Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities.
Ability to work safely in an outdoor environment with active machinery in the same area.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Must be able to perform repeated lifting, bending, twisting and walking.
