MIG Welder

Our client is looking for experienced MIG Welders to join their team. Their production needs have increased and they need skilled, passionate individuals with great attention to detail and who have a desire to produce quality work. Out client manufactures portable garden centre products, industrial buildings, fencing and steel fabricating services for garden centres, grocery chains and mass merchandise stores across North America. If you have been certified previously, but your certification has expired, our client is willing to re-certify the right individual in-house.
Responsibilities:
Capable of setting up workstation and all associated tools
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
Tack and welding procedures
Build products from blueprints, drawings or welding process specifications, and ensure internal quality measures are applied
Conduct initial inspections of product to ensure adherence to safety and quality and reduce rework
Continuous learner within and beyond their own work area
Organize and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area in a professional and safe manner
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Welding certification with minimum 1 year experience (can be expired - client is willing to re-certify the right candidate)
Own welding helmet & gloves
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, organize deadlines and priorities
Able to stand for long periods of time and be able to do heavy lifting
Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination with strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and time-management skills
Strong team player
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Able to follow all safety procedures and wear all PPE apparel required for the job
Punctual and reliable
