Our Welland, ON client is seeking to hire an Industrial Painter for interior and exterior applications.
They require an individual with keen attention to detail and good fine motor skills to work independently on a variety of projects around their facility.
Own transportation is required.
Experience with spray applicators is preferred, but not required.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint
Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler
Paint surfaces, using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers
Examine and ensure quality of work
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Working Conditions | Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Frequent walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching
Ability to operate hand and power tools and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions
Work outside and inside
Work on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, ladders, and scaffolding
Work on and around machinery with moving parts
Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, excessive noises, fumes, and chemicals
Minimum Requirements:
Must be 18+ years of age.
Understand your obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Ensure standards for safe working conditions are followed
Must be able to handle heavy loads
Good manual and physical dexterity.
Good attention to detail and a desire for quality work.
Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in painting trade
Ability to properly apply paints
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work independently
Good organizational skills with an ability to prioritize work
Must be goal oriented and possess the ability to work well under pressure
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime
Wear the required personal protective equipment
Minimum 2 years experience in painting field
