$25.00 / hr | Full-time Seasonal | Valid Working at Heights required
One of our local clients is requesting experienced labourers with valid Working at Heights certification to work assisting with the tear out, repair and installation of commercial flat roofs in Niagara.
Qualified candidates should have some experience working at heights and outdoors. This position requires that candidates be physically fit and comfortable on their feet all day, bending and lifting.
Candidates must be able to read and write English fluently, and not opposed to working in exposure to the elements. Our clients takes every precaution to ensure that workers remain hydrated and receive appropriate breaks, however, the weather cannot be controlled and the work they perform is time-sensitive. Shifts in extreme heat and/or heavy rain may happen. Shifts can range from 4-8 hours per day, dependent on work load and weather.
Own reliable transportation is an asset, however carpool may be available from St. Catharines. Hard hat and steel-toed safety boots are mandatory.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Assisting with stripping roof of old materials
Material handling
Cleaning up debris and general work area
Moving of materials and supplies (heavy lifting)
Minimum Requirements:
A strong grasp of spoken, and written English
Experience working in construction
Able to climb, lift and bend repeatedly throughout the day
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Not scared of heights
Dependable and reliable
Strong work ethic
Willing to work as a team player and support coworkers where needed
Ability to follow verbal instructions
Be reliable, energetic & hardworking with a positive attitude
