Wine Bottling Labourer
$15.50-$16.50 / hr | Part-time | On-call | Niagara Region

As we enter the busy bottling season, our wineries are searching for on-call staff to assist with wine bottling runs. A single winery may only run 1-2 days per week, however, with our collective of wineries that we service, it is more probable for you to have full-time placement during the busy season.

Various wineries in the Niagara Region, from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Grimsby, require extra hands during their peak bottling seasons. These shifts are often booked several days in advance, but could be on-call to fill unexpected spaces as well. Individuals will work at various rotating positions on the bottling line.
Shifts generally run until the day's production is complete (no set end time). This position usually starts part-time, (2-3 shifts per week), but during peak seasons could run 5-6 days.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Working on a fast paced assembly line
Bottling wine, capping bottles, labeling wine bottles, packaging wine bottles for shipments and palletizing
Monitoring finished product for quality & sorting rework or discard products accordingly
Keeping work area clean and organized
There will be lots of bending and lifting all day
Minimum Requirements:
Must be 18+ years of age
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Have good attention to detail and a desire for quality work
Ability to follow verbal instructions
Ability to work in a team environment
Have strong communication skills
Be reliable, energetic & hardworking
Have a positive attitude
CSA-approved steel toe work shoes or boots (green patch) mandatory
