Accounts Payable Clerk
$20.00 / hr | Full-Time | Beamsville, ON

Our Beamsville, ON manufacturing client is looking for a dependable, dedicated individual with Accounts Payable experience to provide financial and clerical support to the business – making payments to vendors, suppliers and other creditors, verifying and reconciling invoices and managing the general ledger to ensure proper cash flow.
This is a full-time permanent position. The client will hire the successful candidate directly after a probationary period with our agency.
Responsibilities may include the following:
Tracking all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices and statements
Reconciling processed payments through verification of entries and other supporting documents to balances
Maintaining the accuracy of historical data and records
Providing support in audit and tax preparation
Verifying expense reports and preparing paychecks for employees
Correspondence with all creditors and vendors regarding payment schedules, outstanding credits and other finance-related inquiries
Preparing an analysis of accounts and other monthly reports
Continuous improvement of the payment process
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Some education or experience in accounting, business, economics, finance
6 months to 1 year experience in a job or co-op setting
Strong work ethic with teamwork capabilities
Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, organize deadlines and priorities
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and time-management skills
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Punctual and reliable
